Evil Christmas Tree Incites Violence
God warned us all about the evil now known as the Christmas Tree.
“Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.” – Jeremiah 10:2-4 (KJV)
We are are a strange animal though and we do not heed His warnings. We even go a step further and buy artificial trees from Chinese sweat shops because evil trees made from the blood and tears of others apparently are better than a good old fashioned real heathen tree that our parents used to use.
I for one will not partake in this terrible ritual. I especially can’t do so now after reading about how an evil Christmas Tree caused a man to attack his elderly parents, using the tree as a weapon. The police report does not mention why 37 year-old Thomas Edward Lackie of Parrish Florida decided to attack his father with a 3′ tall artifical Christmas tree. We can only assume that since there was no reason given for the attack and that the attacker seems to deny or recall the attack then he must have been possessed by the evil spirits trapped inside the tree.
Most people don’t realize that Christmas trees are a relatively new heathen tradition (like Santa Claus, but that’s a whole other story) that started in 1851 in the state of Ohio. That’s not all that shocking considering Ohio is also the place where you can find supposed Christian clergy accused of sacrifcing 10 goats, spiking their heads on stakes and nailing their testicles to trees. That and my in-laws live in Ohio.

Sacrificing in Ohio.. it’s typicall.. You know the whole cats thing.. heck.. I think it’s something about needing the body of the creature in the ground, and removing the head to purify the meat.. Well, at least that’s how I’m interpretted their actions.. Of course, why would you think they are called “stump jumpers” unless they are silly pagans for christiandom..

Its about chiseled idols. Its much clearer in the New American Standard…which is a better translation

Kyle:
Every new translation is better, otherwise places would stop pumping those puppies out. I’m putting together a new NewSpeak Translation myself.
As far as which translation one should use… I’m going to stick with Mr. Rick Warren on this one (not to be confused with Warren Jeffs). In his lovely book “The Purpose Driven Church” he suggestions mixing and matching various quotes from numerous translations or paraphrases so you can
twistuse them more effectively.By Judy , December 20, 2008 @ 5:49 pm
Before everyone gets carried away and sees a demon behind every Christmas tree….take a look at this website which describes the entire history of Christmas trees, Santa, etc – http://www.christmas-tree.com/where.html
And about Bible versions – the only reliable one is the King James Version. Do comparisons and you’ll be shocked!
I read in Revelation 22 v 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book and before that in 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.
So this is serious stuff.
Matthew 5:44 Let’s do a RSV and KJV comparison…
Notice how in the RSV 1/2 of the scripture is missing…
BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, BLESS THEM THAT CURSE YOU DO GOOD TO THEM THAT HATE YOU, AND PRAY FOR THEM WHICH DESPITEFULLY USE YOU, AND PERSECUTE YOU (KJ)
Matthew 18:11
WHERE IS IT IN THE RSV?
GONE GONE GONE GONE GONE
They don’t want you to believe in Jesus as the saviour – but the pope…and/or “just a god”
so they remove it completely…
Do a study on the Jesuits and how they have changed the scriptures.

Judy: There is no demon behind the Christmas tree. The demon is inside those who put up a Christmas tree.
If you think RSV is bad because of a few missing bits of scripture, you should see the NIV. I may be wrong, but I think it is like 41 or 44 missing verses. I only truly trust one version (GDW), but it’s hard to find print copies.

Some Christians think putting up a tree is bad and the reason behind this is they miss understand Jeremiah 10:2-4. “Do not learn the ways of the nations . . . For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. 4 They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter.”
“Aha!” these readers say. “Jeremiah is talking about the Christmas tree!” But closer examination reveals that he certainly is not!
The very next verse, 10:5, goes on to say, “Like a scarecrow in a melon patch, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good.”
This passage and the passages that follow make it crystal clear that the “decorated tree” that Jeremiah was talking about in 10:3-4, was a tree that was cut down and made into an idol, a very common custom in the ancient world. 10:8-10 also confirms this, where the wooden idols are contrasted with the LORD, who is the true and living God.
It is clear that the “decorated tree” to which Jeremiah 10 refers is an idol. Therefore, it is very superficial Bible interpretation and pure silliness to understand this passage as directly referring to the use of a fir tree for Christmas!
If those who set up a Christmas tree fall down and worship it as a god or goddess, complete with altars and incense stands, then Jeremiah 10 applies here. Or if someone loves their Christmas tree more than God, then such a thing might also be considered spiritual idolatry. But apart from these exceptions, I think it is abundantly clear that Christians who erect Christmas trees are NOT worshiping them as gods or goddesses, nor are they loving them more than their Savior Jesus Christ. They are simply using the Christmas tree as a fun custom, one that can remind them of Jesus who is the branch of David (Jeremiah 23:5; 33:15), the root of Jesse (Isaiah 11:1). One that can remind them of the tree that led Adam and Eve to sin, but more importantly, the tree on which Christ Jesus died to make atonement for the sins of the whole world (Acts 5:30; Gal. 3:13; 1 Peter 2:24).
