Salary.com released it’s annual “Stay-at-Home Mom Worth…” article timed around Mother’s Day to get everyone’s attention. FoxNews.com carries the article as usual.
Okay, so I might have intentionally made a typo and “worthless” should read as “worth less”… My bad.
Anyways, did anyone else notice that the economy has hit SAHMs in the fakebelieve paycheck? This year’s article says SAHMs are with $116,805. My head is broken resulting in details of worthless crap not leaving my skull. That resulted in me remembering last year’s dollar amount was higher.
So… I looked it up. Stay at home moms were worth more last year, to the tune of $138,095. Damn Gina… That’s a $21,290 pay cut.
The dollar is weeker so really their salary should have grown to match inflation. If you take that into consideration, the 15% is probably closer to 20%. So what gives? Why the paycut? Illegal immigrants doing the work for less? Overseas outsourcing? Maybe production is down?
